Shimmering Natural Gem from New Zealand
The Paua shell is one of the most colorful natural materials the ocean has to offer. This pendant shimmers in blue, purple, and green, depending on how the light hits it. This is not an effect that can be replicated. Each Paua shell is a true one-of-a-kind, grown on the coasts of New Zealand, where this abalone species is found exclusively.
The Pae hangs on a silver-colored stainless steel chain with elongated, oval-shaped links. Clear and simple, giving the pendant the stage it deserves. 40 cm long, sitting at the collarbone, with an extension option for a little more leeway.
Stainless steel means: waterproof, rust-free, suitable for everyday wear. No need to remove it when showering or at the beach. We handcraft each piece in Kiel. If something ever goes wrong, we're here to repair it for you.

We craft each of our pieces of jewelry in our small studio in Kiel, and if you'd like to experience how it's done yourself, we offer jewelry workshops throughout Northern Germany.
Free Repair Service
Our jewelry is very repairable. In addition to the statutory warranty, we will cover any repair case within the first 12 months after your order, regardless of whose fault it is – we don't ask questions, we just fix it. You only pay for the return shipping.

Who is behind Salty Dreamers?
We are Fynn & Felize, and that's it. Five years ago, we returned from a trip to New Zealand with a lot of inspiration and the desire to create jewelry with meaning. Since then, we've been making everything in Kiel.

What exactly is the Paua shell?
The Paua shell is a sea snail from New Zealand and belongs to the abalone family. It is known for its exceptionally vibrant colors. No two shells are alike; each is a unique natural specimen. In New Zealand's Māori culture, Paua symbolizes protection and a connection to the sea. We source our shells sustainably and certified from New Zealand and transform the fragments into jewelry by hand. You can find more information here.
