If you're not sure what color the Paua shell is, that's because it doesn't have a fixed one. Depending on the light and viewing angle, the Takaro pendant shimmers in blue, gray, and purple. This isn't applied color; it's the structure of the shell itself. A true one-of-a-kind piece, no two are exactly alike.

The Takaro hangs on a silver-colored stainless steel chain, 40 cm long, with a lobster clasp and extension option. The design is deliberately understated, allowing the pendant to speak for itself. Marine jewelry from Northern Germany that looks great even at the beach.

Handmade in Germany

We craft each of our pieces of jewelry in our small studio in Kiel, and if you'd like to experience how it's done yourself, we offer jewelry workshops throughout Northern Germany.

Free Repair Service

Our jewelry is very repairable. In addition to the statutory warranty, we will cover any repair case within the first 12 months after your order, regardless of whose fault it is – we don't ask questions, we just fix it. You only pay for the return shipping.

We are Fynn & Felize, and that's it. Five years ago, we returned from a trip to New Zealand with a lot of inspiration and the desire to create jewelry with meaning. Since then, we've been making everything in Kiel.

The Paua shell is a sea snail from New Zealand and belongs to the abalone family. It is known for its exceptionally vibrant colors. No two shells are alike; each is a unique natural specimen. In New Zealand's Māori culture, Paua symbolizes protection and a connection to the sea. We source our shells sustainably and certified from New Zealand and transform the fragments into jewelry by hand. You can find more information here.
