Paua Shell in Gold: a piece of the ocean for your neck

Small golden pearl links, and in between, a Paua shell pendant that shimmers differently with every movement. Blue, green, purple. No two pieces look exactly alike. That's the nature of the Paua shell, found exclusively in New Zealand.

The necklace is made of gold-colored stainless steel with a waterproof coating: waterproof, rust-proof, suitable for everyday wear. 40 cm long with an extension option. The warm gold particularly enhances the Paua shell because the contrast between the gold tone and the play of colors of the shell is so strong.

We handcraft each piece in Kiel. If something is ever not right, we will repair it for you.

All our jewelry is waterproof. You can wear our stainless steel necklaces and bracelets when showering, swimming, and in the sea, and water won't harm our silver earrings either.

Handmade in Germany

We craft each of our pieces of jewelry in our small studio in Kiel, and if you'd like to experience how it's done yourself, we offer jewelry workshops throughout Northern Germany.

Free Repair Service

Our jewelry is very repairable. In addition to the statutory warranty, we will cover any repair case within the first 12 months after your order, regardless of whose fault it is – we don't ask questions, we just fix it. You only pay for the return shipping.

Who is behind Salty Dreamers?

We are Fynn & Felize, and that's it. Five years ago, we returned from a trip to New Zealand with a lot of inspiration and the desire to create jewelry with meaning. Since then, we've been making everything in Kiel.

What exactly is the Paua shell?

The Paua shell is a sea snail from New Zealand and belongs to the abalone family. It is known for its exceptionally vibrant colors. No two shells are alike; each is a unique natural specimen. In New Zealand's Māori culture, Paua symbolizes protection and a connection to the sea. We source our shells sustainably and certified from New Zealand and transform the fragments into jewelry by hand. You can find more information here.
