Simple, chic, and full of ocean charm: Paua Shell Marama

Marama means moon in Maori, and the Marama lives up to its name. There's something serene and clear about the rectangular Paua shell centerpiece. The natural blues, purples, and greens shimmer differently depending on the light, never the same, always new.

The shell sits on a silver stainless steel chain as a flat, elegant centerpiece. 14 cm, adjustable, with a lobster clasp and extender. A piece that can be worn alone or in an armlet stack. Handmade in Kiel, Northern Germany.

Stainless steel, completely waterproof. No need to take it off at the beach. The Paua shell comes exclusively from New Zealand and is known for its unique shimmer. Repairable if needed.

All our jewelry is waterproof. You can wear our stainless steel necklaces and bracelets when showering, swimming, and in the sea, and water won't harm our silver earrings either.

Handmade in Germany

We craft each of our pieces of jewelry in our small studio in Kiel, and if you'd like to experience how it's done yourself, we offer jewelry workshops throughout Northern Germany.

Free Repair Service

Our jewelry is very repairable. In addition to the statutory warranty, we will cover any repair case within the first 12 months after your order, regardless of whose fault it is – we don't ask questions, we just fix it. You only pay for the return shipping.

Who is behind Salty Dreamers?

We are Fynn & Felize, and that's it. Five years ago, we returned from a trip to New Zealand with a lot of inspiration and the desire to create jewelry with meaning. Since then, we've been making everything in Kiel.

The Paua shell is a sea snail from New Zealand and belongs to the abalone family. It is known for its exceptionally vibrant colors. No two shells are alike; each is a unique natural specimen. In New Zealand's Māori culture, Paua symbolizes protection and a connection to the sea. We source our shells sustainably and certified from New Zealand and transform the fragments into jewelry by hand. You can find more information here.
